Okay genuine question for those who like romance books, what’s your favorite trope (is trope the right word? Idk I’m not the smartest haha)? Like friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, etc. I’m curious. No judgment

Enemies to lovers but it HAS to be slow burn. If yall already wanna fuck each other on page 30 what’s the point. Like yall need to want to kill each other. Combine that with a little forced proximity and *chefs kiss*

Forced proximity is one of my favs, especially if it’s in an enemies to lovers situation or like arranged marriage.

Yeah, I get that. Poor wording on my part. I wasn’t saying people who like enemies-to-lovers like toxic relationships. I just think the tropes we’re drawn to usually say something about what resonates with us emotionally. That’s what I meant.

omg i havent yet but i literally just got in the mail YESTERDAY and im super excited for it!!! ive read the love hypothesis, love theoretically, loath to love you, and love on the brain, all of which were amazing, so im assuming ill love this one too! (ive also technically read problematic summer romance by her too but i lowkey hated that one bahaha)
