AI is for sure a problem, but quick buck marketing and low quality material has existed for as long as publishing has existed. If anything, booktok still helps more than it hurts by popularizing reading and getting more people back into books.

I mean it was a tongue in cheek statement overblown for a meme effect, but yeah he did hold views similar to this. I just wanted to write a reductionist joke instead of an essay explaining the nuanced views on epistemology of writing and dialectic, which wouldn’t exactly be funny. Do you actually think he didn't hold such views? And why?
