If you like romance, Mimi Matthews writes great regency era detective romances! They’re fairly low spice and focus more around the mystery plot.

Do you like when it has some fantasy? The Jackaby series is pretty good it gives Sherlock Holmes (the female main character is like a Watson role but it focuses on her more) but it has some fantasy elements to the cases and its set in the late 1800s
