I never fully got on board bc the whole “marry your bully bc he was only mean to you bc he couldn’t handle his love for you” trope pisses me off, but yes it does actually get better. Reading how the king of elfhame came to hate stories and the stolen heir duology also helps

I’m glad it gets better! I hate that trope too. But I also didn’t feel like Jude and Cardan had proper development. The switch from hating Cardan to liking him felt way too quick. (And I hated the “hate making out too, what was that?? lol)

How far are you into the second book, exactly? Bc it flops a bit to force the growth that wasn’t originally there and I think it’s actually kinda good

Book 3 ends weird but it’s good imo and solidified things. But also I’m just a “book good” person 😭 if it entertained me it’s good lmao
