Really love his writing. He had a pretty significant controversy (that he owned up to) so I feel weird about promoting his work to people, but everything I’ve read by him has really hit.

His writing literally changed my life and when I heard about what happened it definitely changed my view on him and I had no idea he owned up to it actually. I understand why you’d feel like that for sure.

I go back and forth with it honestly because he was like “believe my accusers, I fucked up” which is better than discrediting but it still sucks. But I really love everything I encounter of his. So ya know

That sounds like Sherman Alexie to not try and deny it. Obviously it’s just insane what he did tho. I just thought about how it must feel to be a victim of his and know that the world sees him as this great guy. I just hope he apologized and did all he could for his victims at least. Because they needed to hear that he was sorry more than any media outlet for sure. But yeah. Genuinely his writing has helped me so much and it was a shock to me since he wrote about the SA he endured growing up
