So I’m writing a novel to be published and I’m taking the novel workshop class, is it awkward and weird asf to talk about my novels to one of the creative writing professors regarding plot guidance?

Isn’t that what the class is for?

I would assume that’s fine because like number one said that’s kinda what the class is for. You could also do office hours

Not at all! You’re literally paying for their help with writing.

Oh I see, no I don’t think that’s weird at all. Based on all the conversations I’ve had with English profs at my school they’re almost always more than happy to read something and give feedback. People love to be asked about things they’re good at

Nah I get it! Good luck with it! I did this myself and got some great advice but also got my feelings hurt the tiniest bit 😅 unavoidable side effect of getting feedback on your art lmao
