To put it a bit more tactfully, SJM is not the greatest person, so if you want to read her work I highly recommend attaining the books secondhand! And if you feel inclined, reading up on the problems with her material and being aware of that while engaging with it would be a great way to enjoy the story while being aware of its issues

sjm is a racist and a zionist I recommend not getting into her stuff for that reason just to inform you but ofc, as ive come across so many on here who genuinely dgaf, if you have no morals or you have the same views as her then her work will be appealing to you that much more.

thank you for approaching this the way you did! i'm just getting back into reading for the first time in YEARS and have no idea what's going on. i was recommended this series by a friend 🤩. i'll be doing some reading on her so i can be aware
