I don’t get how so many people aggressively hate the “if only they’d talked to each other trope”. Like have you never been nervous to talk to someone you like or avoidant of a difficult conversation? It’s incredibly relatable!

It really doesn’t bug me at all bc like you said, it can be realistic, as long as it only happens once. If characters repeat their mistakes and it’s constant miscommunications, then that’s where a book loses me. But characters are in theory complex with human emotions, so human mistakes are okay.

Now let’s see if 3 can respond. Hiding behind petty reports works both ways. Especially when you are being legitimately ableist and cruel. 🥰

No I haven’t. You have two choices: either shit or get off the pot. If you refuse to take action then in real life they’ll move on and you’ll miss out. If you take action then maybe it all works out. I’m not dumb so obviously I take action. If you struggle with social anxiety then here’s mind tricks you can do or medication. Realistically the worst case is they say no and then you have closure & can move on.

“I’m not dumb” is out of pocket when talking about anxiety. We get it. You’re better than everyone else 🙄

Part of anxiety coping strategies is walking through not just the worst case scenario, but also the best case. For me what helped was the most likely scenario & realizing it was silly (stupid) to think the worst would always happen. If you go up to a cute guy he’s either going to brush you off/ignore you or flirt back or tell you he’s taken. I’m very attractive so the 2nd & 3rd options are most likely. & if it’s #3 then oh well. Embarassment then we move on with life.

Yall get so butthurt when someone doesn’t let their disability control their life 🤣🤣. I was diagnosed with acute anxiety but no longer have it. Why? Cuz I put in the work & stopped smoking weed. Missing out on what makes you happy because of irrational fear IS DUMB. Maybe understandable, but still dumb. And I am better than you, thanks for seeing it!🤗

Lmfaoo I’m literally going out tonight with 4 of them (5🇲🇽🥳). You’re the one who thinks it’s smart to avoid meeting people so it’s obvious that you’re the one with no friends. 😝😝 stay mad😘

You criticizing my statement that it’s dumb to avoid meeting people was implying that you feel the opposite way. I’m shocked that I have to spell that out tbh. Also you’re the one that pointed out that I’m better than you so I’m not sure why you’re upset that I agree. 😂 Now you’re resorting to name calling & insults because you can’t refute logic.

You’re trying to insult wonderful people that you don’t even know 🤣🤣🤣 mmmm yeah it tracks. Misery seeks misery so if you think it’s not dumb to prevent your own happiness then honestly all of your behavior tracks.

Also I'll be surprised if you can reply since insulting & bullying goes against yikyak's policy. So enjoy stewing in your anger! I've got to go meet my loved ones anyways😝

Oh I can reply. You have to hide being called ableist behind reports. How embarrassing for you. I know what kind of person you are.
