RoW is surprisingly self contained for being the fourth book in an epic fantasy series. I’d say you should be fine (anything that’s super important he tends to work back into the plot anyway) tho I am biased and know I’m in the minority from what I’ve seen of everyone praising oathbringer, but it’s actually my least favorite one 🫣

As the other commenter said, RoW is def self contained. I’d maybe read a summary of Oathbringer if you’re REALLY foggy but you should be good! Journey before destination, each person’s path is their own take it how you want

Hmm that could be, I’m truthfully not online much so my sample size isn’t that big, the people I’ve seen praising it are very loud/adamant about it so maybe it just seems like more people like it to me. Tho don’t get me wrong, for my least favorite in the series I still gave it 4 stars, the writing/continuation of the worldbuilding is amazing, dalinar just isn’t as compelling or as relatable a character for me. And I like venli in book 4 which a lot of people (in my experience) tend not to
