You have to finish for your characters!!! You breathed life into them, it’s not very fair if they don’t get to complete their journey!

A thing to keep in mind: nobody’s forcing you to finish it tonight? You can put aside the 11k you have now (& 11k is Impressive, tbc) and come back to it later with a clearer idea of what u wanna do

I’ve spent two years plotting orchestrating all 12 books and I’m in the writing process of the first one. I’m about to start completely over and delete everything Ive written 😭

First off, good on you for setting all that up! Second, is there a particular reason for wanting to stop?

Idk I think it’s just overwhelming me since I haven’t gotten really anywhere with it physically over the past two years. It’s literally just being plotting and orchestrating every little thing the entire time. Now when I sit in front of my computer I just stare blankly at my screen lol

I know I need to see it through though. I have to. I already have a producer in LA wanting me to finish it so he can film it

I’m not a writer, but maybe start small. Idk anything about the story, but you could start with a smaller scene or interaction, to kind of get a feel for how it should flow?

I think I’m just overwhelming myself with big picture stuff and it makes it hard to focus on the NOW yk?

That said- get in touch with why u wanted to write this in the first place. If it’s a cool scene, write the cool scene

Also - if ur doing it as a script for a producer? Idk ur relationship w them but if they’re chill u can also lowkey ask them for advice? They thought there was something to ur project, and seeing an outside perspective might help guide u?

That’s fair, but if ur overwhelmed u can’t actually focus on the story, ur focusing on the act of writing

That’s what I’m doing! He’s helping me with the dialogue aspect it’s what I struggle with most.

As someone who also is struggling to finish a script for a deadline, I feel u and it sucks, but I believe in u and I believe in the story u wanted to tell
