yeah even listening on 2x speed isn’t a big deal but if you agreed to be in a book club you agreed to read at the pace of the group

Exaaactly. On the rare occasion I do listen to audio books (mostly for when I had books for class due I’d listen in the car otw back from campus from my internship) I usually do listen to them a bit faster than normal. BUT part of the fun of book club is reading TOGETHER. I fear she’s using this as another excuse to just publicly drink without weird looks since I know we’ll have wine or something 🥴
