1st library trip at my new place! I’ve been in a reading slump for so long so I figured I’d pick a bunch of books I’ve been dying to read. Problem is I have no idea what to pick first so please give me some advice

Unless I’m mistaken, I think that’s the original version of “The Bone Season”. You may want to look for the anniversary edition. Samantha Shannon rewrote all of the books and they are much better than the originals

This Is How You Lose The Time War: Got out of a reading slump a few months back! It’s a short and quick read, but an amazing story. I’d recommend starting with that so you feel accomplished and then going from there. Babel could be second since it’s also absolutely incredible, but obviously a much more daunting task.

Get the well of ascension out of the way so you can read the third book 😅 I’ve also heard great things about the fifth season

highly recommend both of these but they are both pretty slow to start so maybe not the best to get out of a slump

Fair point. I might be more of the anomaly here, I like to start with the “slower” books or ones I’m less interested in so I am even more excited to get to the rest. If I read the exciting ones first I have no motivation to go back and read the others which leads to an even bigger slump. Well of Ascension was rough for me but Hero of Ages made it *mostly* worth it. Love that book
