From a filmmaking and script storytelling standpoint I think the one with McKenna Grace was actually phenomenal if that happens to be the one we're talking abt (not sure what streaming its on) but its only good bc of all the trash they omitted from the actual novel so 😭

By miles yes I tried to give ms hoover quite a few chances since people rave abt her so much but her writing in my personal opinion is at its best utter garbage so 😭😭 omitting some of her plot helps the story a lot

She also frankly got lucky with a good film team, its clear a lot of the talent budget went to mckenna and mason so some of the other characters acting is uhm interesting? But the actual production and film I think was impressive and enjoyable considering what it was made from 😭

Yikes…yeah. Isn’t it a drunk driver who basically gets rewarded after killing her partner?

No 😭 the drunk drivers die together in a car accident and leave behind their partners (they were cheating on them with each other hence drunk in a car together) and the partners fall in love but the technical protagonist is actually the widowed womans daughter and it also follows her love story
