Ok so I know a lot of other people wouldn’t give it five stars, it was super predictable and not the romance/romantasy that I usually see on here, but Malice by John Gwynne. I can see how it might not work for everyone, but I absolutely loved the characters and his writing style. I’ve been reading a lot more complex fantasies lately, and this one was super nice to give my brain a break too

Yeah, I can’t really put my finger on it. It doesn’t have anything groundbreaking about it, I’ve seen all the tropes before, but it just absolutely worked for me. I’m on the second book now and added his other series to my list
