I usually read fiction but non-fiction has had a hold on me lately. Y’all got any recommendations? Currently reading the immortal life of Henrietta Lacks and I’m loving it so far

Just mercy (full version, not adapted for teens version), and dead man walking are both great memoirs regarding death row inmates and morality of capital punishment

An immense world by ed yong for science about how different animals perceive the world through different senses humans can’t imagine or medical apartheid in the same vein as Henrietta lacks

Oh and an edition for anyone curious: the just mercy movie is really good (just leaves out a lot, it only follows the main case in the book and not all of them) but I do recommend it after reading, but the dead man walking movie is HORRIBLE. It combines the two cases in the worst way and the dude is just an ass who you want them to murk ngl
