it is one of the best fantasy series i have read. the world building is amazing and the way everything ties together at the end is amazing. like things you never thought of coming back to have part in the final book. chefs kiss 💋

I read the prequel and it was okay I guess? But then I read the first book in the series and it was legitimately the worst book I’ve ever read. Actually terrible. Supposedly they get better but idk

Honestly it’s pretty good if you’re used to ya. If not id read a bunch of other books that get slowly closer to it. I loved it in middle school but tried again a couple years ago and it didn’t work for me

I’m reading assassins blade rn (for context loved acotar and crescent city so just wanted to continue the overall series if that makes sense). I’m reading assassins blade (prequel first) cause I heard it would help rather than just jumping in, I hear first book honestly kinda sucks but then it gets wayyy better so I think it depends if you want to be in it for long haul

The first book (not the prequel) was okay, not my favorite. The second one was better, but still not my favorite. But my friend loved the books, so I kept reading the series, and I’m so glad that I did. It is now by far my favorite series and I am not even finished with it yet. I would highly recommend reading this series.
