Not only is she proudly transphobic and racist (never forget what she did to Imane Khelif), but she is also disgustingly misogynistic. I refuse to read her books, but she just gave me another reason to avoid putting them on my shelves.

The way jkr treats femininity in her books shows this a lot Character who likes pink and cats and has a high voice is called a toad and is a villain Character who takes care of his appearance is made a coward and is an antagonist Hermione in a dress is shamed the whole night for having fun with another school at an event made to gather people Lavender and the Patil twins are described more femininely and they’re used for temporary girlfriends who have opinions that others dislike (divination)

If someone in this day and age has their Hogwarts house in their Bookstagram bio, I assume they are sending a message that they stand with her. What a monster.

Dude can you please stop schizo posting? This has nothing to do with the book club community

Dude. Fuck off. This does have something to do with the book community. A lot of you read Harry Potter even though she has literally used her money to fund efforts that hurt trans people.

You post some variation of the same thing nonstop with some vague reference to books. I don’t even like JKR and agree with the sentiment but you do this all the time. It’s gotten rly old atp

No this actually is super relevant I fear. She also just took a picture up a trans woman’s skirt and then said “she was asking for it bc of how she was dressed” (rapist language). Like she is literally the worst and absolutely related to book club when there are still people out there promoting Harry Potter like it’s their job.

You clearly like her. Otherwise. Why is this pissing you off. If you want to read her shitty books, go fucking ahead, but there are people who are still into Harry Potter. I have trans friends that suffered bc of assholes like JKR. Fuck you for thinking I should be silent.

Also schizo posting probably isn’t the best choice of words here. Schizophrenia is serious. The person you’re talking about is frequently off topic, but they are most likely not mentally ill.

I think they are personally, I’m no fan of jkr and agree she sucks for the same reasons, this person just posts the same stuff all the time. It’s genuinely concerning

I don’t fucking post the same stuff all the time and I’m not mentally ill. I’m just pointing out issues I have with racism, misogyny, and bigotry. And news flash. Books are political. Just say you want to stick to your books and have fun and not give a damn about how they impact women, people of color, and lgbtq people.

There are significantly fewer women than men and even less stereotypically feminine characters than that Also Fleur is very feminine and is the least successful Tournament player and has to be part-Veela because she’s pretty and many other women choose to dislike her

And then in the movies they make it worse because Beauxbaton is co-ed in the books so she was picked to be the best from men AND women and then it was switched to an all-female school in the movie so it makes it almost feel like her achievement of being selected isn’t as great

There’s also the centaur rape joke 😬

Oh yeah, that’s a MASSIVE problem Don’t forget everyone shaming Hermione who jkr *swears* was *always* a black woman for SUPPORTING FREEING HOUSE ELVES FROM ENSLAVEMENT!!! She tries to make us all side with the “Hermione is being ridiculous for wanting to free enslaved beings. They’re bred to like enslavement. They don’t know what to do if they’re not enslaved.” That was literally the argument held by slaveowners to uphold the system of enslavment. Wtf
