I’m writing a book and while the FMC does eventually help overthrow the corrupt government, she starts out working and loyal to it. And the only reason she does help overthrow it is because it benefits her, they’re trying to kill her, and they captured someone she cares for. She is going through an identity crisis and loves living in denial about everything she doesn’t like.

It’s a slow burn but there is a great part in His Forevermore (book 3 of His Unexpected demon romance series) where the FMC beats the absolute fuck out of her shitty dad with bare knuckles.

I have a few recs if you’re cool with mystery / sci fi or shifter romance / politics. Also both are definitely smutty. I don’t really like it but it doesn’t impact the plot much so you can always skip it.

lol I feel that. Mines a virgin but she also doesn’t give a shit about men and now that she has two love interests she is basically playing both of them bc they’re on the run so who gives af? She don’t need a relationship rn 😂 also it annoys me that basically no books mention birth control or periods???
