They’re kinda batty ngl. Like amazing worldbuilding and fights and romantic tension but then the romance is weird for a while so hit or miss. I loved them when I was younger. I did like the Victorian era series in that world better, The Infernal Devices.

I loved it when I was younger, but have heard it doesn’t hold up and has some weird themes & such that you pick up more as an adult. Tho full disclosure I haven’t reread it any time recently and the two people I know who have and were disappointed by it loved it when they were kids as well. They probably had too high expectations/nostalgia from their younger selves going in to it too which didn’t help. Going in blind you might be better off
