An Ember in the Ashes if you’re looking for more ya, or I’d say The Will of the Many for adult. The second is a bit of a stretch, but quite a good read

I actually read an ember in the ashes when it was first published, definitely trying to read more adult now but hopefully without smut as a lot of adult books with romance lean into now a days

It’s graphic but in all the best ways. It’s a Dark Fantasy book about war, colonization, and losing yourself to the monster within

the will of the many doesn’t have smut, so don’t worry about that. high/epic fantasy with quite little focus on romance, though there is one
