When I worked at a bookstore I often got “I’m looking for a book, the author is kind of niche, you wouldn’t know him.” It was almost always Mistborn or The Way of Kings.

Been reading a lot of Brandon Sanderson, and I’m a woman. I hate to say it, but all the dudes who were gatekeeping his work and thinking they were better for reading him were just exaggerating. It’s just normal fantasy, nothing insanely deep. Love it tho
