Anyone who loves to learn should love to read. Make it your job to inspire them to find something they will also love to read. Reading isn’t about liking or not liking it… it’s about finding what you enjoy or giving up because nobody has shown you the right thing for you. Manga in 1st grade was my intro to reading and I’ve been obsessed since.

Appreciate this but i promise you i’ve tried and continue to do so, its not received. I yearn to share my love for reading with people close to me, they just could not care less. They love that I love to read, they just have no interest in it despite me being loud and proud about reading, and recommending books that cater to things they’d find interesting. It is what it is, I can’t control them

Yeah sadly you can’t force people to… but maybe you can interest them in to movies based on books and make comments on how it left stuff out 😂. I used Dune as an intro to one friend. Also maybe literature isn’t their thing you can try an intro with the audiobook of a self read autobiography or sumn. I used the Joey Diaz book for one friend lol (amazing autobiography btw I recommend it). There’s always something for everyone just try your best to expose them.
