Oh lmao my bad. Just a warning Herbert has some goofy amounts of sexism in dune, and I’m not exactly the biggest fan of his writing style—but the worldbuilding, storyline, and ideas are interesting enough to keep reading imo

Assigning gender expectations out of your authors is not needed or healthy. Especially in Sci-fi/Fantasy which is a male dominated genre, it’s normal for the books you’ve read to be primarily male. It’s like going to a grocery store and lamenting there’s food there 😭 you can enjoy good books and not have to worry about the author’s gender
