Tender is the Flesh for cannibalism fuckery, Sleeping Among Wolves by Royal Poff for a fun take on zombies and tragic gay romance, Pane by Bailey Elizabeth for time travel horror and tragic sapphic romance, TankerTanner for a horror book told from the POV of house cats, House of Leaves for long and unsettling that may take over your life, Never Whistle at Night for fun indigenous anthology, The Shining for classic horror that’s wintry, Haunting of Hill House for classic horror w good dialogue.

“The Only Good Indians” by Stephen Graham Jones if you want to support an indigenous writer. Creature feature horror with a ton of symbolism, and a racing plot that reads like watching a horror-suspense movie
