Someday a new adaptation will be made. For now, I’m happy to drive around Monterey and let it live in the imagination. Book hits harder when you reach your 40s as well.

I’ve been to Monterey a handful of times (I grew up about 3 hours south there) and I had to drive through the Salinas Valley to get from home to college and I literally always thought about that book and John Steinbeck generally

No, I actually didn’t know the book was part of that lol. Something about Hallow rubs me the wrong way anyway so I’ve never felt compelled to download it

Interesting. I’ve found it to be really insightful, but to each their own! The book is enjoyable nonetheless
