Does this look infected? (This is the best pic I can get I’m sorry it’s on my ankle) it hurts the same as all my other tats did in the 1st week. The only thing concerning is how it looks but I feel like it’s just the design being swollen still

It looks incredibly overworked. If you notice any blisters, pain, heat, redness or excessive swelling in an area and it doesn’t go away/gets worse. Head to an urgent care asap. Is there a white outline around the flower or is that your skin raised??

The red part isn’t inflammation/infection (at least I don’t think) I had the flowers colored in with a dark pink and light pink and she added white for the highlights. Personally I think it’s just bad scabbing from having a lot of details drawn, color added, and white highlights but again I don’t know much and am listening if I am completely wrong.

My biggest concern is the middle of the flower. It feels more raised than the rest of the tattoo which is scabbing like normal. It also only hurts when I moisturize/ wash it but not pain I haven’t experienced w other tattoos. Overall I’m really only concerned cause it doesn’t look the way I’m used to my other pieces looking while healing.

Noted! Its mostly scabbed over rn and at most hurts 2/10 when i apply a lot pressure to that area. That pic was right after i had taken the 2nd skin off and washed it so some of the ink that fell out was staining around the area. That was the best i could do to wash it off without being too rough. it looks like that around all the other parts of the tat w color. None of it is raised besides the middle part

Yeah. Unfortunately I think your artist just did you dirty. I would be hesitant to go back to them. Hopefully it all turns out ok for you!!
