Find a local black beauty supply store. Their prices are always lower than Sally’s. They usually have a very wide selection of hair dye.

I live in Cali; a local business is usually 10x the price of chain brands here

If you’re in north Cali then probably forget it but if you’re in south Cali then I would still try tbh. I left Cali & now I’m in south FL and Walmart is pretty much the cheapest option EXCEPT for black beauty supply stores. Or don’t but I really prefer paying $6-$8 for something sally charges $12-16 for.
