laser hair removal is lowk a scam, it doesn’t kill the follicle so the hair will eventually come back, look into an epilator or start waxing, those are the only real methods u can do at home to get results that last

I have the device but don't use it that much now.. (bc I don't have that much body hair) idk mine is the same kind u r asking tho cuz you still have to shave before using the device and then use it. The device I have helps the hair get thinner and thinner until it doesn't grow anymore. But except for the fact that i need sunglasses to use the device bc of the strong light, I haven't felt any side effects :)
