Ladies with legit dark upper lip hair, how do you get rid of it???? I’ve struggled with this for several years and don’t know what to do about it. It’s a major insecurity of mine. Shaving only gets rid of the hair but not the actual shadow. What do I do?

I would look into waxing. It sucks but maybe letting it grow a bit and getting it off would help. Over time it supposed to get lighter, I’d also see about getting blood work done to make sure your testosterone is good, sometimes it’s just genetics but it’s alway good to check! Also drag queen routines, life changing 🙌🏼

After I remove the hair I use a niacinamide and alpha-arbutin to help even out the skin I personally use the 5% niacinamide serum from the ordinary and the The Beauty of Joseon Glow Deep Serum: Rice + Alpha-Arbutin

I know someone (and it works 100%) hair bleach and bleaches hers - then the hairs are blond and you can not see them. She has a REALLY intense dark mustache and you can NEVER see it.

I’m not a makeup person so take this with a grain of salt but sometimes I’ll put A LITTLE blush around my stubble mustache and it helps make it look dead and grey. I’m sure someone who knows color theory could de a better job but alas, that is not me

Yeah no problem also I’m just assuming you might have darker skin or skin that pigments easily I would look into tyrosinase inhibitors. Basically tyrosinase inhibitors stop the production of excess melanin and alpha-arbutin is one of them and the most gentlest but if you want something stronger try a product that contains Kojic acid. Oooh and another thing that helps is using a retinol to help with cell turnover I use the INKEY list Retinol Fine Lines and Wrinkles Serum.

And another thing make sure you moisturize when your skin is hydrated the shadow is reduced in color. And good luck with your skin care journey 🫶🏾
