There would be no fifth season of ST because they would’ve killed him half way through season 4 and spent the last half becoming the surrogate parents of the kids and letting Steve take a nap.

Vecna was a creature in D&D first. That’s where the kids in Stranger Things got the names of the monsters- mindflayer, demogorgon, Vecna.
