The difference with EVs vs data centers is data centers are a constant draw and the limitation there is grid capacity. EVs aren’t always charging which is an invariable draw on the grid like the AC unit for a house. Power plants need to provide exactly as much power to the grid as we use to get 60 Hz. Give too much >60, give too little <60, stray too far and bad shit happens. The grid needed to upgrade for both EVs and data centers but increasing supply is easier then getting better at adapting.
