Actually, all autistic women need representation in our world, regardless of age. We’ve gone without diagnosis for years until in the 2000s researchers realized we’ve been here the whole time. No one gives a fuck about autistic women unless they’re men who see us a feeble and easy to manipulate. Give us one fucking thing.

Also: the fact that the “fan” version is being associated with such negative stereotypes automatically outs anyone who agrees with the meme that they clearly only wish to accept a specific version of autistics (especially female and nonbinary ones) that is palatable to them. As soon as someone is a bit annoying to you personally or wears something odd, your allyship is gone and you’re making fun of us. We see all of you and know what you think about us. Do better.
