Having a job is so much better than not having a job because not having a job means no income which means you’re screwed and can’t even pay to do fun things let alone feed yourself at least if you’re working unless if it’s more than 9-5 5 days a week you have free time too

Bro I work federal work study. Max 12 hours, $10.70 with no chance of a raise. I make 1/3 of my rent every month from this job.

You make $10.70/per hour?! I know the federal income is $7.25, but most state and city incomes, including Washington DC, are higher. Where do you live where they are only paying you $10.70? Also, do you work for the federal government?

Fair, even with a job you can be struggling and not have free time but having no income is even worse.
