Blue light glasses might help with the lights as for scents wear a lava bead with a scent of your choice so if there’s an unpleasant scent near you, you can just huff the one you want to smell.

jk. remove yourself from the situation. if that’s not an option, drink water. you might be overheating, and hydration never hurts. a lot of the time sensory overload is exacerbated by focusing on the sensation, so try grounding yourself by focusing on one thing at a time. stop trying to take everything in and just focus on one thing. coping strategies are usually very situational, so you might need to find what works for you. i like using noise cancelling headphones, even if they can look dorky.

I’m a college student as well. I also have sometimes get a little self conscious about the outfits I like to wear everyday because of the attention they draw 🤦🏼‍♀️ 😭

Yeah no I agree. I’ve been told that I don’t dress in a socially appropriate way. But for me it’s comfortable and helps

Yeah same. I wear those matching windbreaker tracksuit sets everyday. The materiel is 100% nylon so they are really noisy when I walk everywhere. They are so comfy but I get mean looks 😭

I mean I did get in trouble a few months ago at target off campus and other people saw unfortunately 😭 🤦🏼‍♀️
