yeah i told my prof i needed his ref because i wanted to transfer and instead of giving it to me he gaslit me saying “what does ____ have that we don’t?” and “you have so much potential i can train you so well”. “don’t tell anyone i said this but i pick on you bc better than everyone else”. he would pick on me for just about every mistake for the last 2 semesters and it got even worse when i told him i’m transferring.

my performance was getting worse and my anxiety has gotten so bad that i shed tears the other day in class. so i went to the dean and he said that the prof told him he wanted to withhold me and the dean had to force him to give me the ref i need

honestly i didn’t want to say something bc in the beginning of the school year i didn’t know whether he was strict or just an asshole so i didn’t know when to draw the line but whenever he’s not in a good mood he kinda takes it out on other people so i didn’t want that to happen

i checked online and i can’t report him to the dean of students yet unless the problem still isn’t resolved after i had gone to the dean of arts dept
