Is it normal with autism to like a repetitive sound (like a fan) it blocks out loud noises and strong scents that overwhelm me. I’m getting shit on constantly by my family for it and they force me to turn it off even though it helps me sleep and work.

Definitely! My partner and I are both AuDHD to some extent and we need a loud ass large fan to sleep. The silence is extremely uncomfortable, and at he can hear the sound of his phone charging without the fan

Its probably not good, but I keep my loud fan running almost every moment that I’m at home because it comforts me a lot

No headphones for apps that do the same thing? If you haven’t tried that I hope you do and it helps

I have to sleep with a fan/heater for the rumble noise or I just can’t sleep.

There are like eight hour long fan noise videos on YouTube if you need it but don’t have a fan
