Anyone had a late autism assessment, like 20s or such that can give me advice? Thinking of getting one but not sure it’s worth the money and hassle if I’m already sure and I’m just nervous about the process since I’m so awkward in new spaces/people

I got one at 18 (Im 21 now) and it was a huge relief for me. The actual evaluation was kind of awkward and lengthy but its been really nice to be able to get proper accommodations now that I have the paperwork. Obv its going to be different experiences for different people but it was definitely worth it for me

I got mine at 23. I needed it to be able to get accommodations because I was really struggling. With the state of our country right now, I would recommend that you really think about the pros and cons of getting an official diagnosis. If you already know that you are autistic and don’t feel like you need accommodations, I don’t think it’s worth the risk right now, but that’s just me
