Has anyone ever been on glp-1 and wants to share what it was like? Finding ppl who don't sensationalize it and also have school is difficult so any experience would be helpful tyia 🙌

Currently on wegovy and I’ve been taking it since like October 2025. I can confirm that it 100% does reduce your weight. I’ve lost around 60lbs from my highest weight and I’m so happy about that.

I was on zepbound from August 2025 to February 2026. (Not on it anymore bc I can’t afford it) and it was amazing for me. It improved my inflammation, made me stop binge eating, stopped the constant food noise, and I just felt great in general on top of the weight loss. I lost 45 pounds in that time and since being off of it I’ve only gained around 5. I have multiple chronic illnesses that make exercise very difficult so zepbound was a miracle for me until my insurance stopped covering it

Now for the realities: 1) you will lose weight! 2) it’s really not painful to inject 90% of the time 3) there’s an increased risk of mental health issues like depression(which it’s definitely made worse for me) 4) gastrointestinal issues are likely to increase and have maintained for me whilst on it 5) it’s expensive as hell without insurance but with it, it won’t be 6) almost everyone who uses a gpl-1 will gain all the weight back if they don’t build a healthy lifestyle WHILE on it

7) the weight gain people experience when they stop it is primarily caused because people didn’t follow through with also eating healthy and exercising. 8) you will feel crappy if you eat food that’s not so healthy like fast food and carbs while on it(it’s caused lots of discomfort for me when I’ve tried so you’ll be forced to make better choices) 9) you’re going to be fighting for your appetite once youre on an increased dosage because it’s an appetite suppressant

10) the best advice I can give if you go through with trying one is to maintain your eating in smaller portions. Eat small snacks during the day instead of large meals all at once because you’ll quickly realize you can’t eat as much anymore but you NEED to keep nutrition in you so you don’t develop/increase other health issues like low iron levels. It’s easy to feel ok during the day until you just don’t and it’s because you probably forgot to eat anything lol.

Ok that was a lot but I could ramble on and on about it and am glad to do so if you’d like to know more. Personally, I feel that it’s overall worth it because my results are so real. I’m getting my life back because of it. It just requires will power to actively change your lifestyle so that you’re a healthier person when you want to stop it.
