Me and my bf lol we didn’t know we were on the spectrum when we started dating but it makes a lot of sense. He understands where I’m coming from a lot of times and is open/willing to actually intellectually talk things through. It’s great 10/10 recommend

I find I get along better with autistic men. I like some women too but men tend to respond to straight forward communication a little better usually. I’ve had to go out of my way to protect more women’s feelings, if a guy doesn’t like what I say he immediately shows the red flags or communicates to set me straight. My lady friends will sometimes internalize because that’s what girls learn rather than externalize so I need to be more careful about how I say something.

(I am a woman) my bff is the exception to the rule but she took communications and her family is all toxic passive communicators so to her she prefers my straight forward style (but I still ask something along the lines of “can I be an asshole?” just because I like to keep up the habit if I’m going to be critical.)
