I always start conversations by complimenting their outfits. For example today a classmate of mine was wearing a stranger things hoodie (my current comfort show) so I complemented it and we talked about the show for a while it was fantastic

I ask people about themselves and if they're interesting to me, I then ask if they want to be friends directly

That’s so real. I literally NEVER struggled to make friends until 7th grade and then I no longer could make them like before. Like idek what happened and idk how to talk to people anymore but it’s been that way ever since and it makes me so sad 😭😭
