In my 21 years of life, Ive learned that if youre pretty, then you can get away with most autistic traits. However if you are chopped and autistic, then 50% of the population will look at you like you deserve the guillotine

Do you think if I got plastic surgery people would stop talking to me like I personally came to their house and shot their dog

i know for a fact i am pretty, but unfortunately i don’t experience this at all :( if anything people are even more shocked? that i’m different from them. sometimes i’m labeled as weird/stuck-up/rude for the way i look & being introverted at times or lacking social cues

i feel like when you’re pretty, it’s either seen as cutesy to be autistic, or you’re deemed as weird for having autistic traits. like i’ve known since i was a kid that i have to be on that spectrum, but my parents refused to get me diagnosed, and everyone just said i was weird bc i grew up fat. but no it’s very clear im on the spectrum

Being conventionally attractive and somewhat high functioning is really what makes people categorize you as a manic pixie dream girl rather than a slur
