The proper, full length test for autism is about 2 hours. For a few years when I was younger my mom would volunteer me as an example of an autistic girl to the annual training seminar teaching doctors how to give it

My adhd eval was around 5 hours. Really proves your case when you’re visibly struggling less than an hour in🫩

I have! Mine was about 3 hours in person. It was things like testing memory, hand eye coordination, etc. And then they sent me home with forms that was more scale 1-5 how depressed and autistic are u questions. That was over 1,000 questions. You might not have to do as much paperwork if your interview is that long.

My test was like 45 minutes. After the test they tell you the actual test is whether or not you can get through the “test” duration without being impaired by distraction. You’re welcome.

I’ve heard of the diagnosis process being really lengthy sometimes!

It depends how many tests they’re giving you. Mine was about that length but I did a whole battery of tests

when i got diagnosed i did like an initial round of testing (for various disorders not specifically autism) which was probably around 3 hours. then they did a specific autism test that had to have been 1-2 hours. unfortunately some testing is super long :(

Yeah mine was only two hours which was still excruciating but not quite 5-6 hours levels of excruciating

I had my adhd eval in 6th grade and they had my parents and teacher fill out forms before I got there and then the doctor looked at the forms and was like “Yep you have ADHD, here’s your Adderall”
