You are in college what do you expect , you are here for education and learning about the real world and preparing for the real world, the real world isn’t nice or gentle with anyone , if you can’t handle a sassy RA then what are you gonna do when your boss is screaming down your neck ?

being in college isn’t an excuse to not have emotions. and you don’t just magically grow thick skin the second you step onto a college campus. learning how to handle difficult situations takes time, and being treated with basic respect isn’t the same thing as expecting the world to be “nice or gentle. no one should feel obligated to disrespect you no matter what higher role they play in your life.

& yea college is supposed to prepare you for the real world, not teach you that being rude or insensitive is acceptable. having emotions doesn’t mean someone can’t handle the real world

you told someone to “grow up” for crying, crying is a response to your emotions and then to add onto that you said we’re in college so what do we expect and said to grow skin and that phrase is also typically used towards sensitive people so whether you said that or not, that’s what you insinuated
