ummm because children need to see themselves in the people they look up to? thats why women business leaders and women mentors in stem fields are so important, it’s the same concept. if you don’t teach young boys how to care for others and teach, you get men who don’t know how to teach and care for their loved ones. taking down the patriarchy means equality in all aspects of life including the important ones like caring, teaching, nurturing

if they don’t have those role models that’s where things really hit the fan because they start to look for role models elsewhere, and predatory people who know that there are a lot of boys without male role models take advantage of that need for guidance to fuel their own agendas (andrew tate for example)

There’s no shortage of male role models. We need more women, BIPOC folks, Queer folks, and Disabled folks in the spotlight.

role models in caring roles, not business, not politics. personal, one-on-one caring roles. look at the stats for nurses, teachers, even wait staff. we need men in those roles
