I firmly believe that every assessor I had looked at “weird” and “quirky” me who doesn’t meet eyes when expressing a thought but will when asking questions or sometimes force myself to do so when talking before my eyeline floats off to above and to the left of their head, who spouts random facts that she has a collection of in her head, and who spent most of her childhood (and still occasionally visits into adulthood) in imagination land and went yeah that kids not autistic,
This woman who spends “all her time researching” how to “help me” just went: “I learned a new word today! Have you heard the term *neurodivergent?*”She also calls people with disabilities/disabled people just disabilities e.g. “my daughter is a disability.” And no it’s not a second language issue. That’s just her and how she talks no matter how many times I try to correct her.
