whenever the discourse of women reading mlm fanfic starts up i always feel uncomfortable tbh the main reason i read mostly mlm is bc its the furthest thing from me, i hate reading things that i can actually relate to i never want to see me in a character

like almost all my fav characters from shows are white blonde blue eyed men (maybe black hair for a lil diversity) even tho im a black woman bc theyre the furthest people from me idk ive just never understood in fanfic of all things wanting to relate and i think thats also why i read strictly character x character never x reader
