Interesting. I dress alt partially because I always feel like people are staring at me anyway this way I can say “ofc they’re staring look at what I’m wearing” and it sets an expectation that I’m not normal so people expect me to act weird. So me acting weird is me fitting into my expected role nicely and blending in the best I can.

I can see your point of view, my theory is that dressing the way everyone else does and looking as pretty as you can offsets strangeness or makes it more socially acceptable. I do this to put other people at ease. I have blonde hair, I wear white fox, I’ve changed everything about myself. I’m even getting a nose job. I look back at videos of myself where I think I’m speaking well and fitting in and my tone doesn’t shift at all, so they probably can still tell no matter how much I try to
