when i was dating to marry i was actually so miserable. it made every relationship feel like a failure instead of something i could appreciate for what it was. and after 5 partners (+lots of situations), i had thought i knew what i needed, but was practically flashbanged by how wrong i was and by how much better my current partner is than anyone i’ve ever experienced. my previous rel didn’t even seem bad until i could compare it to something so much better in ways i wasn’t aware i needed.

I date to marry but that’s not the same as some formal courting thing, I just break it off the second the relationship doesn’t seem viable for a future marriage
