hey guysss have any of you guys joined a sorority in college?? what was that experience like for you? im transferring to a big school w greek life and i want to join one to make friends but im fr so scared

People say “you’re not paying for your friends” but when my chapter lost a bunch of members due to behavior and our dues tripled and I couldn’t afford them I did lose all my friends :) plus I got a position a “more committed” girl wanted and we got into a huge fight and I lost my standing in the sorority bc her and other members united to smear my name. That being said, I was making mistakes in my personal life so some I kinda deserved but overall…wouldn’t recommend.

I was going to and got in but dropped last minute bc I started getting burnt out just from rush week 🫩

I was being groomed by one of parents friends. I was 19; he was 32. 😳 So you can imagine how that went down. Another point that I think is important is once — as a bigger girl — I said “we really need to work on diversity and inclusion” (2018 mins you) and two girls said “why we let fat people in??” 😭😭

It was really hard and by the end of the week I realized everyone was having fun but me I was exhausted and school hadn’t even started cause our rush is the week before classes

i totally get that :’) my freshman year of college, i was on a cheer team and i got a concussion day 2 of preseason and by the time school started i was so fucking over it & burnt out already i hope things are better now for you!!!
