This is why I stopped performing. I’m gonna be myself and those that like me for me will stay. I don’t need to waste my energy on people that don’t care

Nobody ever really knows for sure if somebody else’s reaction is genuine or what they think. Well, sometimes you do know and have a pretty good sense of somebody has a genuinely positive or negative reaction that’s on the more extreme end of possibilities
